Policies and terms
Made-to-order terms
How proposed custom sewing work, specifications, quotations, measurements, materials and changes are handled.
Request and assessment
A made-to-order form starts a discussion; it is not an order. Kymmy may decline a project because of its design, materials, timing, budget, fitting requirements, current availability or suitability for her capabilities.
Explain the intended use, preferred style, approximate size, timing, budget, fitting availability and whether you hope to supply fabric. Reference images communicate preferences only and do not create an agreement to produce an exact replica.
Kymmy will not knowingly copy another designer’s protected work directly. General inspiration may instead be used to develop agreed, original specifications.
Specifications and quotation
Before work begins, the written quote or agreement will record the item, important design features, materials, measurements or fitting process, price, any deposit, expected timeframe, collection or delivery method and how changes will be handled.
A quote is valid only for its stated period and scope. Work outside that scope may require a revised quote and timeframe. Availability is not reserved until the stated acceptance and any deposit steps are completed.
Measurements and fittings
Provide accurate information and attend agreed fittings where required. Measurements supplied remotely may carry additional uncertainty. Kymmy will explain which measurements are needed and how to take them.
Fit depends on the agreed specifications, measurements, fabric, construction and fittings. No garment can be guaranteed to provide a perfect fit.
Materials
Fabric and notions affect appearance, construction, care and timing. Customer-supplied material must be disclosed and may need inspection. Kymmy may decline material that is insufficient, damaged, unstable, unsafe to handle or unsuitable for the agreed item.
The written quote or agreement will address any relevant shortages, hidden faults, replacement availability, pre-washing and unused remnants. Supplying fabric does not necessarily reduce labour or sourcing costs.
Timing and changes
An expected completion date depends on timely decisions, fittings, payments and material availability. Delays or requested changes can affect the schedule. Disclose any essential event date before accepting the quote.
Changes after cutting or construction begins may be impossible, may affect the result or may require extra work and cost. Kymmy will seek agreement before carrying out a material change to the accepted scope.
Deposits, cancellation and concerns
The accepted quote or written terms will explain any deposit or staged payments, cancellations, customer delays, collection arrangements and remedies that apply to the project.
Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. If a concern arises, use the contact page promptly with the relevant details so it can be discussed.
