Helpful answers before you enquire
Frequently asked questions
Find general guidance on appointments, fittings, project timing, alterations and Etsy purchases. Kymmy & Co. is based on the Gold Coast and welcomes enquiries from across Australia; individual garments and projects still need their own assessment.
Location & appointments
Where is Kymmy & Co. located?
Kymmy & Co. serves the Gold Coast. Please get in touch before visiting to arrange a fitting or garment inspection. Suitable postal projects from elsewhere in Australia are considered individually.
Do I need an appointment?
Please enquire before bringing or sending an item. Kymmy will confirm whether an appointment, inspection or fitting is appropriate for the work.
Will I need a fitting?
Some alterations and made-to-order garments need one or more in-person fittings. Kymmy will explain what is required after reviewing your enquiry.
Can I post an item to Kymmy & Co.?
Do not post a garment without arranging it first. Whether postal work is suitable depends on the project, the measurements needed and whether a fitting or physical assessment is required.
Made to order
Can I supply my own fabric?
Potentially. Kymmy will need to assess whether the type, quantity, condition and care requirements of the fabric suit the proposed project before accepting it.
How long does made-to-order work take?
Timeframes vary with the design, materials, fittings, current workload and any agreed changes. Submitting an enquiry does not reserve a place; Kymmy will provide an expected timeframe if the project proceeds to a quote.
Can I send inspiration photographs?
Yes. Include a link in your enquiry or send clear photographs through Instagram. Inspiration helps explain the shape, fit or detail you like; Kymmy will discuss what is practical for your garment.
Alterations & repairs
How long do alterations take?
Timing depends on the garment, the work required, fittings, materials and current availability. Kymmy will discuss an expected timeframe after assessing the job.
Can I get a quote from a photograph?
A clear photograph may support an initial assessment, but it cannot show every construction detail or fitting issue. A garment inspection or fitting may be required, and the final quote can differ from an early estimate.
Do you work on formalwear or delicate garments?
Formalwear and garments with lace, beading, sequins, fragile fabric or sentimental value are considered individually. Please disclose delicate details, damage, stains and previous alterations. Kymmy may decline work that is unsuitable or outside her capabilities.
One-off pieces & Etsy
How do I check the size of a one-off piece?
Review the measurements and description on the current Etsy listing and compare them with a similar garment that fits you well. Contact Kymmy through Etsy if listing information needs clarification before purchase.
Where can I find shipping and returns information for Etsy purchases?
The current Etsy listing and shop policies govern Etsy purchases, including availability, payment, shipping, returns and exchanges. Check those details on Etsy before ordering.
Quotes, timing & changes
Can you take urgent jobs?
Urgent work is subject to suitability and current availability. Include the required date and any event date in your enquiry, but do not assume the work is booked until Kymmy confirms it.
How do quotes and deposits work?
An enquiry is not a quote or booking. If Kymmy can consider the work, she will discuss the specifications, price and timeframe. The quote must be accepted before work starts, and a deposit may be required.
What if I change my mind or request changes?
Contact Kymmy as soon as possible. Changes can affect feasibility, cost and timing and may not be possible after work begins. Any cancellation or change is handled under the terms accepted for that job and Australian Consumer Law.
Still unsure?
Choose the enquiry that matches your need
A clear first enquiry helps Kymmy ask the right questions. It does not create a booking, order or final quote.
